Legend Park

The Legend Park Remediation Project is a state-funded initiative led by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) to restore a former landfill site located at Legend Park in Clayton, NC. The project aims to address environmental concerns from past waste disposal activities and revitalize the area as open green space for community use. With remediation efforts such as waste capping, erosion control, and environmental restoration, the site will be transformed into a safe and sustainable space for recreation and nature preservation.
